Wahgunyah – Springhurst Railway
The remains of the Wahgunyah – Springhurst railway are in various forms:
- Wahgunyah to Federation Road has rails and sleepers in place but appears to not be used.
- Federation Road to Rutherglen has been converted to a rail trail – a bike track along railway right-of-way.
- Rutherglen to Springhurst seems to be in tact, but is not used as far as I can tell.
Stations, in order from Springhurst were:
- Springhurst – still in use
- Lilliput
- Rutherglen
- Wahgunyah
According the VR Grade Book, there was also a siding called Consols Siding between Lilliput and Rutherglen. There are also a large number of photos of the region in the Photo Galleries in the Upper Murray Region photo album.
